Silver Airways is an American airline which is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with secondary hubs at Orlando and Tampa. Silver Airways operates the most routes within Florida, as well as meeting the high demand between Florida and The Bahamas. The airline also flies to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean, and seasonal flights between Boston and Bar Harbor, Maine.
Silver Airways is known as the top choice airline for flights from the US to the Bahamas.
The airline was founded in 2011 after it re-branded and re-launched from the bankrupt Gulfstream International Airlines. The airline primarily focussed on offering flights between Florida and the Bahamas and later expanded its flight offering to different parts of the US and, eventually the Caribbean islands.
The airline also has several interline and codeshare agreements with airlines in the Americas to give its passengers the opportunity to connect to other destinations through the same itinerary with its partner airlines. Silver Airways has interline/codeshare agreements with Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Avianca, Azul, Bahamasair, Delta, JetBlue and United.

Passengers are given a carry-on baggage allowance of one free carry-on baggage and one free personal item on all flights. This baggage must be able to fit easily under the seat in front of each passenger or in the cabin overhead lockers.
Passengers aren't given a free checked baggage allowance on flights. However, passenger can purchase checked baggage if they need it. No one piece of baggage can be over 23 kg (50 lbs) in weight or exceed the overall dimensions of 62" (157 cm).
Silver Airways offers 1 cabin class - Economy Class.
Economy Class is the only cabin class that Silver Airways offers.
The airline offers a very-basic service for good value. There are very little extra in-flight amenities, however, the airline does have a friendly and attentive cabin crew that is able to assist with any questions that passengers might have during the boarding process or once in-flight.
Seats are configured in a 2-1 formation and feature premium leather upholstery and padded headrests and armrests. There is ample storage in the overhead compartments, which can accommodate full-size, carry-on roller bags.
Passengers can check in for their flight either online or at the airport at the check-in desk.
Passengers can check-in for their flight through the Silver Airways online check-in page. Online check-in opens 24 hours before scheduled flight departure time and is completely free to use. To complete the check-in, passengers must enter their PNR number and last name under the 'manage my trip' section. Online check-in closes two hours before scheduled flight departure time.
Passengers can also check-in at the airport by visiting one of the airport check-in counters. It's recommended that passengers arrive at least one hour before scheduled flight departure time for domestic flights and at least two hours before for international flights. This will allow enough time to complete check-in, drop any baggage, pass security and board the plane.
The airline has partnered with three other airlines, enabling passengers to earn frequent flyer miles when travelling on Silver Airlines flights: United Airlines American Airlines, and jetBlue. This means that members of United’s 'MileagePlus®', JetBlue’s 'TrueBlue' and American Airlines' 'AAdvantage Miles' loyalty programs can earn frequent flyer awards for travel throughout Silver’s network.
To enable easier onward connections, the Silver Airways also has interline partnerships with the following airlines: Alaska Airlines, ANA, Avianca, Bahamas Air, and Delta.
The airline doesn't serve any snacks or in-flight meals. We recommend bringing your own food and drink for flights on this airline if you want something to eat. Although, the airline does give each passenger a complimentary bottle of water.
