Vacancy Customer Service Training Executive
We are a young and growing company in the fast-moving travel sector. Our team are hard-working, driven and extremely committed to everything they do. At Alternative Airlines, our staff are important and we are committed to their on-going personal development. Alternative Airlines is an online travel agency offering a wider choice of flights for its customers. Due to sustained growth, we are now expanding our team and looking for a skilled trainer who can build and deliver robust training plans within our Customer Service team. This will include Amadeus GDS, customer handling skills, and developing processes and training manuals.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in training customer service teams with clear results (one year).
- Expert knowledge of Amadeus GDS experience including ticketing and refunds (at least two years).
- Be able to review, propose and map out processes to improve customer service.
- Experience in building training manuals from scratch.
- Ability to keep abreast of ever changing processes/procedures.
- Highly organised, proactive, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Passion for customer service and the airline industry.
The Role
- Building and develop a training plan for a customer facing team.
- Training to include system processes but also best practise skills when dealing with customer.

Job Role
- The role will be focused on creating reports to analyse data and trends produced from a variety of data points on the Alternativeairlines.com platform. Reports will include commercial reports, customer demographics, searches on the site by region, airline, route, checkout rates by payment method and device (desktop, mobile and tablet). The role will have real responsibility and decision-making authority to drive insight and changes on the Alternative Airlines platform.
- Our diverse team of developers use both established and proven techniques such as PHP and MySQL, but also work with modern technologies such as Docker and React. We operate in a very agile, progressive and fast-paced manner in order to offer our customers the best flight booking experience. There will be an opportunity to work on back-end projects using PHP and MySQL as well.
- The position will provide clear insight for improvements to the platform as well as understanding on the customer base and their interactions on the site. This is a 12 month internship designed for someone studying a Computer Science related degree or recently graduated who is keen to gain real exposure and experience with a fast-moving technology company. Successful candidates will be offered a full-time role upon completion of their internship. Our diverse team of developers use both established and proven techniques such as PHP and MySQL, but also work with modern technologies such as Docker and React.

Skills Range

Job Description
- These are very exciting times at Alternative Airlines. We are putting together a top notch team of front enders and an exceptional designer to help overhaul the front end of alternativeairlines.com.
- The role will be focused on the front-end development of Alternative Airlines’ platform and projects will include a complete overhaul of the front end of the website. Designing and implementing new features into the flight booking process, creating customer-facing landing pages to promote new features and airlines available through Alternativeairlines.com as well as the management of the existing front-end platform.
- Working collaboratively, and alongside a cross-functional team you will take a user-centred development approach to address complex design problems and work closely with other front end devs and a designer.
- You’ll devise compelling ideas, ideate possibilities and create concepts at different levels of fidelity. You will have a hands on approach with a keen eye for bringing designs to life with great interfaces whilst maintaining the structural integrity and standard of the frontend codebase.
- Through effective implementation, the successful candidate will help create an excellent user experience across all devices including desktop, mobile and tablet.
