Air Rarotonga is an airline based in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. The airline's main hub is at Rarotonga International Airport. It operates scheduled flights throughout the Cook Islands and charter flights to French Polynesia, Niue, Samoa and Tonga. Excluding charter flights, Air Rarotonga flies to between five and 10 destinations.
Air Rarotonga was founded in 1978 and flew its inaugural flight the same year. The airline codeshares with Air Tahiti on flights between Rarotonga and Papeete, with flights operated by the latter.
Baggage Policy
British Airways has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy. The cabin class is also a determinate factor.

The free carry-on baggage allowance depends on the route flown and is as follows:
- Flights to Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia, Mauke, Mitaro and other Southern Group Islands are allowed to bring 1 piece of carry-on baggage no more than 7kg.
- Flights to Manihiki, Penrhyn, Pukapuka and Northern Group Islands are allowed to bring 1 piece of carry-on baggage no more than 3.5kg.
- Flights to Papeete are allowed to bring 1 piece of carry-on baggage no more than 5kg.
All carry-on baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 45 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (17" x 13" x 7") and must be able to fit either under the seat of the aircraft or in the overhead locker.
Checked Baggage
The free checked baggage allowance depends on the route flown and is as follows:
- Flights to Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia, Mauke, Mitaro and other Southern Group Islands = 1 x 23kg checked baggage
- Flights to Manihiki, Penrhyn, Pukapuka and Northern Group Islands = 1 x 10kg checked baggage
- Flights to Papeete = 3 x 23kg (overall)
No one piece of baggage can exceed the overall dimensions of 150 cm (59") (length + width + height).
Cabin Classes
Due to the short flights and small aircraft that Air Rarotonga flies with, the airline has just one cabin class — Economy Class.

Passengers are served a complimentary drink on the flight and have the option to purchase additional snacks and beverages.

Economy Class seats are set out in either a 1 x 2 formation or 1 x 1 formation.

Hub Airport
Rarotonga International Airport
Rarotonga International Airport (RAR) is an international airport in the Cook Islands and the hub airport for Air Rarotonga. The airport is the main gateway to the Cook Islands. It has one runway and one terminal building.
Air Rarotonga is currently the only airline that uses Rarotonga International as its hub. Other airlines which fly to and from this airport include Air New Zealand, Air Tahiti, Jetstar Airways and Virgin Australia.

Air Rarotonga has a fleet made up of a variety of aircraft. It uses regional jets such as the Saab 340B+, Embraer EMB110P1 Banderiante, Cessna Citation II and Cessna 172. Overall, it has more than five planes within its fleet.
