About Turkmenistan Airlines
Turkmenistan Airlines is the flag carrier of Turkmenistan and offers passenger and cargo services.
The scheduled carrier was established in 1992 and is currently serving 11 countries with 20 destinations, including: Abu Dhabi, Almaty, Amritsar, Bangkok, Birmingham, New Delhi, Frankfurt, Kyiv, London, Minsk, Moscow, Beijing, Istanbul, Saint-Petersburg as well as within domestic airlines – between the capital city and regional centers of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan Airlines has code share agreements with Belavia and S7 Airlines.
Turkmenistan Airlines' fleet consists of B777s, B767s, B757s, B737s, B717s and many others.
Classes
Turkmenistan Airlines entitles its passengers in Business Class to the Business Class compartment, located in the front part of the plane. Immediately behind the cockpit, is equipped with wide and comfortable arm-chairs, space between which is usually not less than 90 cm, that provides maximum of opportunities for pleasant and comfortable flight.
Regulator of position of the arm-chair’s back allows passenger of business class to settle comfortably to have rest or concentrate on solution of importation issues. In some types of aircrafts, arm-chairs are equipped with a foot rest and an adjustable headrest.
The State Air company daily transports over three thousand passengers within the bounds of the country. Over half a million people are conveyed annually on international airlines.

Tukmenabat city, Turkmenistan, opens a new international aiport!
An opening ceremony for the brand new international airport was held in Turkmenabat City, the administrative center of Turkmenistan’s Lebap province. The airport, constructed by Gundogdy, a local company, is located 13 kilometers from the city in close proximity to the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway and the Ashgabat-Kerki railway. The complex can withstand 500 passengers per hour. A new runway with a length of 3,800 meters long and 65 meters width is equipped with state-of-the-art ground support facilities - light-signal and meteorological systems, which allows servicing aircraft of all types.
The cargo terminal with storage facilities is designed to handle 200,000 tons of cargo per year. The automated meteorological system, radio engineering, light-signal and ornithological equipment have been installed in the aerodrome. In 2013 it was reported that “Turkmenhowayollary” State National Service (Turkmen Airlines) intends to conclude a contract with Altcom Road Construction LLC (Ukraine) for the construction of a new international airport in Turkmenabat city.

Turkmenistan Airlines starts Ashkhabad - Yerevan - Frankfurt Flights
Turkmenistan Airlines operated the first regular flight from Ashkhabad to Yerevan today. From Armenia the plane will fly to Frankfurt, Germany.
A delegation led by deputy chief of Turkmenistan’s aviation authority Suleyman Durdiyev was on board the first flight.
Chief of the General Aviation Department of Armenia Sergey Avetisyan congratulated the partners on the commencement of the flight and noted that “any new flight to Armenia is definitely positive.”
The flights on Ashkhabad-Yerevan-Frankfurt route will be carried out once a week on Wednesdays.
Ninety-six passengers arrived in Armenia on the first flight.

Turkmenistan Airlines postpones its direct flights to Georgia
Turkmenistan expected to launch the new flights from September 17, however this was postponed until November 2 before a decision was made to cancel the flights for this winter season. The flag carrier of Turkmenistan intended to perform regular flights on the route Ashgabat-Tbilisi-Ashgabat twice a week on a Boeing 737-757 aircraft.
Turkmenistan Airlines was founded in May 1992, the year after the nation became independent upon the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
The airline now operates an all-Boeing fleet apart from one CRJ 700. As well as this aircraft, it currently has seven 717-200s, one 737-300, four 737-700s, five 737-800s, four 757-200s (one inactive) and three 777-200s. The average age of Turkmenistan Airlines’ fleet is 10.5 years according to ch-aviation. The airline currently has one operational base, with that being in the capital of Ashgabat.

Previously Governmental Aviation, the unit will henceforth be known as the Governmental Aviation Detachment. Turkmenistan Airlines offers non-stop connections from Europe to Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan Airlines offers convenient connections from Birmingham, London (LHR), Frankfurt, Paris (CDG) via Asghabat to Amritsar, Bangkok, Beijing and Delhi.
Other destinations of Turkmenistan Airlines are including Beijing, Moscow, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi and Kiev. The Turkmenistan Airlines fleet consists of only modern Boeing (717,737,757 and 777) aircrafts. All flights are operated in a two class configuration: Business and Economy Class.

Turkmenistan Airlines announced that it was to commence long-haul flights using its newly acquired Boeing 777-200LRs and this aircraft are currently utilised on flights to Bangkok, Beijiing, Birmingham, Delhi and Istanbul.
