flydubai offers a Business Class service in which you are one of 12 passengers with built-in lumbar support, generous recline and extendable leg-rests and 12.1 inch built touchscreen.
Economy Class Carry-on Baggage
flydubai's Economy Class cabin bag allowance is one item with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and maximum weight of 7kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.
Business Class Carry-on Baggage
flydubai's Busines Class cabin bag allowance is two items, each with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, and a total maximum weight of 15kg. If travelling with an infant, passengers are allowed to bring one extra bag.

Italy added to flydubai's network
Daily direct flights between Italy and Dubai have been launched by flydubai. This connects its bellyhold air cargo capacity on this route with more than 100 destinations of the airline's Network in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. The flights will be operated by the B737-800 max.
FlyDubai Cargo said in a statement, "We're continuously growing our fleet of Boeing 737-800s to expand our network and increase frequencies.Our fleet will continue to grow as we receive delivery of aircraft from the order announced at the Dubai Airshow in 2013. This order was for 75 737 MAX 8s and 11 Next Generation".

FlyDubai starts operating Dubai - Makhachkala flights
Dubai-based FlyDubai has started operating Dubai -Makhachkala flights usingBoeing 737−800 on November 1, a representative of Makhachkala Airport Imara Abumislimova said.
Flights to Russia's Makhachkala will be carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays and on Tuesday and Friday nights - back to Dubai, TASS reported.
Makhachkala, Ufa and Voronezh being the latest additions with operations commencing in October 2017. Along with these newest points on FlyDubai’s network the airline operates direct flights to Kazan, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow (VKO), Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Yekaterinburg.

Emirates and Flydubai use Terminal 3 to operate
After growing their commercial relationship earlier this year, Emirates and flydubai could finally use the same terminal at Dubai International Airport, the world's busiest for international travellers, the head of the airport operator said.
Emirates, the Middle East's largest airline uses only Terminal 3 without some of the Qantas flights that will end next year. Budget airline flydubai shares Terminal 2, on the other side of the airport, with other flying companies.
The two airlines are considering developing connections for passengers, in addition to whether it's possible for them to operate out of Terminal 3.
"We need to make a strategic decision about how the traffic distribution will work," Dubai Airports Chief Executive Paul Griffiths clarified to Reuters on Thursday in an interview in Dubai.
"Then we need to move quickly into a design and construction phase to build whatever facilities are necessary for that, or adapt existing facilities around the new business model." He continued.

Long-haul carrier Emirates expands to 29 FlyDubai routes
Dubai’s long-haul carrier Emirates says it will now expand its network into 29 locations flown to by budget carrier FlyDubai as part of a codeshare deal.
Emirates said in a statement on Monday that the codeshare agreement will see trips begin on Oct. 29. Flyers can book trips beginning Tuesday.
The two airlines operate independently, but are owned by the same entity, the Investment Corporation of Dubai. That’s a state-owned sovereign wealth fund of the sheikhdom in the United Arab Emirates.
The new agreement comes as Emirates’ profits fell by more than 80 percent to $340 million in the last fiscal year due in part to a slump in demand and U.S. travel restrictions.

Flydubai launches flights to Podgorica
Flydubai has announced the start of flights to Montenegro's capital Podgorica, which will begin on 01 November.
With two flights a week, the flights include a stopover in Sarajevo, a popular destination on the flydubai network. Podgorica joins the airlines network in Central and Eastern Europe, which includes Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Prague, Skopje, Sarajevo and Sofia. flydubai will become the only UAE-based carrier to offer direct air links to Podgorica.
Ghaith Al Ghaith Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said: “With the launch of our flights to Podgorica, we continue to offer passengers more ways to explore and discover Montenegro. The popularity of our summer flights to Tivat has shown a continuous demand for more access to this part of the world and we are delighted to be offering flights to Montenegro on a regular basis.”

Global Eagle Expands In-flight Connectivity Portfolio
APEX Insight: Global Eagle recently announced two deals that extend its connectivity portfolio on single-aisle aircraft. During an investor update on September 14, the company confirmed that LOT Polish Airlines will feature its Ku-band satellite Internet solution and revealed an expanded relationship with flyDubai. Subject to approval by the Indian government, in-flight connectivity upgrades for Jet Airways were a possibility, it said.
During last week’s investor update, Global Eagle confirmed that it will be the IFC service provider on LOT’s six upcoming Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with deliveries scheduled to begin later this year. It said the deal was driven by a pair of factors. Global Eagle was the first vendor to achieve line-fit offerability on the 737 MAX line, giving it an advantage in install timing and support. The company’s executive vice-president of Connectivity, Joshua Marks noted that its IFC deal with LOT was not the result of a typical request for proposal process. Rather, Global Eagle’s long-standing content relationship with the airline meant it was well positioned to expand into the connectivity segment. Global Eagle said that discussions were ongoing regarding retrofits on board LOT’s existing fleet of seven 737s, but that no decision has been made.
Global Eagle will also continue to expand its connectivity offering with flyDubai. The low-cost carrier will install its Ku-band connectivity kit on at least eight 737 MAXs. The carrier has 75 of the type on order. Some of the eight are already in service today so retrofits will be required on those aircraft. Global Eagle already provides connectivity on the carrier’s fleet of 54 737-800s.
“We continue to install our wireless in-flight entertainment system on Jet Airways 737NG aircraft. Decisions have not yet been made beyond that by Jet Airways. We are in active discussions related to the timing of when those aircraft will be upgraded to full connectivity, but clearly we’re all waiting for the Indian Government to give the approval before we announce specific contract amendments and timetable for upgrading those aircraft with connectivity antennae,” he said.
The presence of onboard streaming would give the airline an advantage when it comes to transitioning to Global Eagle’s full connectivity platform. The in-cabin hardware is in place and the content portal software is ready to go. Passengers are familiar with the interface so adding the internet access to the options is a relatively easy adjustment to make.

flydubai schedules B737 MAX debut for late 1Q18
flydubai is planning to debut commercialB737 MAX 8operations towards the end of the first quarter of 2018, ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.
At present, the type is provisionally set to make its maiden appearance from March 25, 2018, onwards with a dailyDubai Int'l-Prague, Czechia, service. It is anticipated that the MAX will be used on other services ahead of this date.
Of the seventy-five B737 MAX it has on order fromBoeing(BOE,Chicago O'Hare), flydubai has thus far taken delivery of two, both of which are inactive at this time and inAmman Queen Alia for completion work.

Flydubai Expands Network In Russia
Aiming to offer its customers the opportunity to explore Russia’s historical and cultural heritage, architecture, and food, flydubai will add flights to Makhachkala and Voronezh in October as well as resume services to Ufa.
The will bring total number of Russian destinations served by the airline to 10, with its current network including Kazan, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Yekaterinburg.
Ahead of the launch, the carrier has joined forces with Russian Emirates Publishing & Advertising to develop a list of the top experiences in the Eastern European country this September, including opera and ballet shows, festivals, and exhibitions.

Flydubai has taken delivery of its first B737 Max 8 aircraft
Flydubai has taken delivery of its first B737 Max 8 aircraft, becoming the first Middle Eastern carrier to operate the next-generation Boeing aircraft.
The Gulf airline has a total of 76 B737 Max aircraft on order, which will expand the carrier’s existing all-Boeing fleet of 58 B737-800s.
Commenting on the delivery Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai said:
“We are delighted to receive our first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from our order made at the Dubai Airshow in 2013.
“This marked the largest single-aisle Boeing aircraft order placed in the Middle East. With this new chapter, we are looking forward to continuing our work with Boeing as we benefit from increased efficiency and are able to offer an enhanced customer experience.”
The B737 Max is the fastest selling aircraft in Boeing history, with more than 3,800 orders from nearly 90 customers to date.

AAR signs agreement with flyDubai
AAR has expanded its relationship with flydubai by signing a long-term contract to provide comprehensive flight-hour component support for its new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The Dubai-based airline is set to take delivery of 100 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft ordered at the 2013 Dubai International Airshow by the end of 2023. This is AAR’s first agreement to support the new aircraft and will utilise the company’s extensive global supply chain network, including its new parts warehouse in Dubai.
“AAR is honoured that flydubai will be AAR’s launch customer for the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft,” said AAR Chairman and CEO David P. Storch at a signing ceremony in Dubai to mark this important event. “We have been supporting flydubai’s current fleet since September 2016, and it is a privilege to be entrusted with this new opportunity.”
“As the first customer of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 in the region, we are looking forward to bringing further fuel and operating efficiency to our young modern fleet,” said flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith. “AAR is a key partner with an enduring commitment to innovation and reliability, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”

Emirates to form partnership with flydubai
Emirates, the world’s biggest long-haul airline, will form a partnership with low-cost sister carrier flyDubai aimed at allowing the companies to feed passengers onto each other’s flights.
The deal will include network collaboration and coordinated scheduling at Dubai International Airport, where both airlines are based, Emirates said in a statement Monday. It will be rolled out from the fourth quarter starting with enhanced code-sharing arrangements.
Dubai has been looking at placing the two government-owned carriers under a single structure for several months. The move means FlyDubai’s regional flights will help fill Emirates jets, while the discount operator gets access to a global network of 157 destinations. New city pairs are set to be opened up and duplicated routes eliminated, while frequent-flyer programs may be aligned.
The partnership unites two complementary models and will unlock “immense value,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and chief executive officer of Emirates Group and chairman of FlyDubai. The airlines will continue to be managed independently, he said.

Flydubai reveals new uniform
The new look reflects the carrier’s transformation from a start-up airline to a mature carrier
Dubai-based airline flydubai is introducing a new uniform for the first time since its inception in 2009. Flydubai teamed up with Dubai-based hospitality supplier A. Ronai LLC. to create the new look.
The new design will be worn by over 2,500 staff, including pilots, cabin crew, training, engineering and maintenance staff as well as members of staff at the airport and flydubai travel shops.
The roll out of the new look later this year will coincide with the airline’s reveal of its first Boeing 737 MAX 8.
Commenting on the launch of the new uniform, the airline’s chief executive Ghaith Al said, “Flydubai has evolved continuously since its inception; we’ve continued to push boundaries and change the way people travel around the region.
"Our desire to meet the varying travel needs of our passengers with affordable, reliable travel services still lies at the heart of our proposition; however, we have come a long way from being a start-up airline and this maturity needs to be reflected through multiple touch points across the airline, undoubtedly the uniform is the most visible of all.”
“The design takes into consideration the various working environments of the flydubai staff including varied climates, cultural and religious sensitivities, durability and practicality, versatility, cost-efficiency, as well as security, health and safety regulations,” added Jilly Sims, senior vice president of Inflight Service at flydubai.

Flydubai has seen a 3.5% increase in passengers numbers travelling between the UAE and Africa in 2016 compared to 2015, according to a company statement. The airline has built up a wide network in Africa with flights to Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Khartoum, and Port Sudan, as well as Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar. flydubai announced it will be depending its relationship with Emirates over the next 18 months as the owner, the Dubai Government, seeks to improve returns. Changes could include more closely coordinated connecting - or feeder - flights, and a joint decision on schedules to soften head-to-head competition in some markets.

flydubai Launches Seasonal Flights to Batumi, Qabala and Tivat
flydubai announced it will launch new seasonal flights from Dubai to Batumi (Georgia), Qabala (Azerbaijan) and Tivat (Montenegro).
The new services will operate from June to September 2017, expanding its network to 93 destinations in 44 countries. Flydubai also said 48 out of 58 Boeing 737-800 aircraft are now equipped with Wi-Fi and Live TV services. In May 2017, flydubai announces it is investigating collaboration with Air India Express. Options being considered include interline and codeshare arrangements. The Air India LCC subsidiary has focused its operations on India-Gulf flights, aimed primarily at Indian migrant workers. Its weekly seat capacity on India – Dubai Int'l flights is 14,880, which it serves from Mangalore, Kozhikode, Amritsar, Delhi Int'l, Lucknow, Mumbai Int'l, Tiruchirapally, Kochi Int'l, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, and Pune.
