Pacific Coastal Airlines is a Canadian airline headquartered in Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal.

This is based on the total outbound seats, take offs and landings.

A new airline division Wilderness Seaplanes which started service on May 5, 2016 was established to take over the Pacific Coastal Airlines Seaplane Division and is Based at Port Hardy and Bella Bella. Pacific Coastal Airlines connects you to communities and world famous outdoor adventure and fishing lodges along British Columbia’s central coast in conjunction with Wilderness Seaplanes.
Wilderness operates seaplane service to more than fifty coastal communities from bases in Port Hardy on northern Vancouver Island and Bella Bella.

WestJet to launch first CPA with Pacific Coastal in June
After an initial delay, Canadian LCC WestJet Airlines is poised to launch its first capacity purchase agreement (CPA) in June, the first of what is expected to be several deals that will expand the carrier’s network into smaller communities.
The deal with Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA), announced in December, envisioned an early 2018 start date. But PCA hit delays in getting regulatory approvals, forcing WestJet to push the launch to June 20.
Initial routes will connect WestJet’s Calgary hub with Cranbrook, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Lloydminster and Prince George. All routes will be flown with 34-passenger Saab 340Bs painted in WestJet livery.
“We’re about to launch in the [Canadian] West,” WestJet CFO Harry Taylor said in a recent investor conference. “We hope to have something in the East over time as well, and expect that this will continue to add and grow” both the carrier’s revenues and network.
Notaby, Cranbrook and Prince George are in British Columbia, outside of WestJet’s home province of Alberta. Diversifying its Calgary traffic has been one of the carrier’s goals, as Alberta is heavily dependent on oil exploration, and has seen traffic rise and fall in line with oil prices. PCA’s other three WestJet routes are in Alberta.
WestJet, which has 47 Bombardier Q400s flying in its WestJet Encore regional operation, is expected to add CPAs to add feed at its Vancouver and Toronto hubs as well as bolster Calgary. Expanding into smaller communities not suited for Q400s is seen as a key way to add flow that will help support the carrier's international widebody expansion. It takes the first of 10 firm-order Boeing 787-9s early next year and is expected use the aircraft to launch new long-haul services to Europe, Asia or both. The carrier currently serves several European destinations.

Pacific Coastal Airlines works on its new Vancouver-Tofino service
Pacific Coastal Airlines has now officially launched its short 188-kilometre hop between Vancouver and Tofino as of last week, when it inaugurated its daily Beech 1900-operated service. It is the third airline to fly between the two British Columbia airports, joining KD Air Corporation and Orca Airways which both already operate three daily services each. Although Pacific Coastal Airlines only operates a daily service, its 19-seat aircraft choice for the route means that weekly seat capacity on the airport pair will grow by 68%, as the two rivals choose to serve the sector using their eight-seat Piper PA31s. Pacific Coastal Airlines’ flights will leave Vancouver at 15:15, landing into Tofino at 16:00. Return services then depart at 16:30, touching down back in Vancouver at 17:15. With this launch the carrier now operates to 11 airports non-stop from Vancouver.

Pacific Coastal Airlines adds non-stop Vancouver-Tofino service
A new daily non-stop flight between Vancouver and Tofino has been added to Pacific Coastal Airlines’ spring schedule.
The new flight starts April 3, though the spring schedule will begin March 4 and be in effect until June 3.
The new flight will operate seven days a week, leaving Vancouver International’s south terminal at 3:15 p.m. and arriving at the Tofino/Long Beach Airport at 4 p.m. It leaves the west coast of the Island at 4:30 p.m. and arrives in Vancouver at 5:15 p.m.
The airline will use a 19-seat turboprop Beechcraft 1900 to service the new route, but the company might upgrade to a 30 or 34-seat Saab 340A or 340B aircraft should demand increase.
Other changes to the spring schedule include a new early-morning connection between Cranbrook and Comox, three daily connections between Cranbrook and Victoria, twice-daily morning and afternoon flights between Port Hardy and Vancouver and the return of the Saturday flight between Vancouver and Masset starting May 4.

The new 2018 spring schedule creates better connections between some of the other destinations within Pacific Coastal Airlines' network, improves on time performance, and adjusts seat capacity to better meet local demand.
Some of the changes to the 2018 spring schedule include, but are not limited to:
Tofino
New daily non-stop service between Vancouver and Tofino starting Tuesday, April 3

Pacific Coastal Airlines’ 2018 Spring Schedule Includes Vancouver-Tofino
Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to announce its 2018 Spring Schedule which will be in effect from March 4 to June 3, 2018.
The new schedule includes a new, daily non-stop flight between Vancouver and Tofino beginning Tuesday, April 3.
“This new route is a natural fit for our airline and introduces greater capacity and improved service to Tofino, Ucluelet and the surrounding area,” says Pacific Coastal Airlines’ President Quentin Smith.
The new flight will operate 7 days a week, leaving Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal (YVR) at 3:15 P.M. and arriving at the Tofino/Long Beach Airport (YAZ) at 4:00 P.M. It departs YAZ at 4:30 P.M. arriving back at YVR at 5:15 P.M.
“As an airline that got its start in Bella Coola, we understand the importance of quick, convenient, and affordable travel between smaller communities and larger hub cities in British Columbia and we will be working hard with key stakeholders in Ucluelet, Tofino and the entire region to earn their support,” adds Smith.
Pacific Coastal will be using its proven 19-seat turboprop aircraft, the Beechcraft 1900, to service the Vancouver-Tofino route, but has the capability to upgrade to larger 30 or 34-seat Saab 340A or 340B aircraft should demand increase.

Pacific Coastal Airlines is launching a new daily afternoon service between Vancouver and Tofino starting on April.
The 45-minute flight is aimed at those seeking a quick and affordable travel option between the lower mainland and Vancouver Island’s west coast communities, the airline said. The flight will operate seven days a week, leaving Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal at 3 p.m. and arriving at the Tofino/Long Beach Airport at 3:45 p.m. It departs Tofino at 4:15 p.m. arriving at YVR at 5 p.m.

While the new schedule does not include any fundamental changes from the Spring/Summer schedule, the first flights of the day will leave a bit later, while the last evening flights will depart a bit earlier. Some of the changes include, but are not limited to:

Pacific Coastal Airlines announced it was adding another Victoria flight
Pacific Coastal Airlines’ service between Kelowna and Victoria has caught on so well the carrier is adding a third daily flight. Effective June 5, the afternoon flight leaves Kelowna daily, except Saturday, at 3:45 p.m. and arrives in Victoria at 4:50 p.m.
Pacific Coastal flies one of its 19-seat Beech 1900 turboprop planes on all flights between Kelowna and Victoria. WestJet was the only airline to fly non-stop between Kelowna and Victoria, with two flights daily, until a couple of years ago, when Pacific Coastal entered the market.
