Jubba Airways Hub Airport

Aden Adde International Airport

Aden Adde International Airport, formerly known as Mogadishu International Airport servicing the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu. It is named after the first President of Somalia.Originally a modest-sized airport, the facility grew exponentially in the post-independence era following various successive renovation projects. With the outbreak of the civil war in1991, Aden Adde International's flight services experienced routine disruptions. However, with the security situation in Mogadishu greatly improved in the late 2010–2011 period, large-scale rehabilitation of the grounds' infrastructure and services once again resumed. By early 2013, the airport had restored most of its facilities and introduced several new features.

Baby born on Juba Airways plane!

An unexpected passenger joined a flight in Somalia after a baby boy was born mid-air, Jubba Airways has confirmed. The flight was travelling from Hargeisa, the capital of the self-declared republic of Somaliland, to Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, the airline said. The woman, who was seven-months pregnant, started to feel contractions shortly after take-off, according to fellow passenger Kamil Abdiaziz - who also happens to be a Jubba Airways employee.
