About
Georgian Airways, formerly named Airzena, is the National Carrier of Georgia.
The airline is a dynamic young airline based in Tsibili, connecting this capital city with European and Asian centres. Privately owned and professionally run, the company now operates scheduled flights from Tbilisi to the following destinations of Vienna, Amsterdam, Batumi, Moscow and Tel Aviv. The airline now flies to destinations including Tbilisi, Paris, Saint-Petersburg and Odessa. It maintains codeshare agreements with Austrian Airlines via Vienna and KLM for flights via Amsterdam. Its fleet includes B737-500, B737-700, Bombardier CRJ100ER and CRJ200LR.
The airline became an IATA member (International Air Transport Association) in 2010.
After being founded in September 1993, the airline operated charter flights to the United Arab Emirates, Italy, China, Egypt, India, Syria, and also regular flights to Austria. The airline was referred to as Airzena until its name change in 2014.

For hand baggage, passengers in Economy Class are allowed 1 piece of up to 8kg weight and 2 pieces for Business Class of up to 8kg.
Checked Baggage
Passengers in Business Class are permitted 30kg of checked luggage.
Passengers in Economy Class are permitted 20kg of checked luggage.
Check-In Information
Online Check-In
Passengers can check-in online for their flights 24 hours before departure by visiting the airline website.
This is only available for flights departing from Vnukovo (Moscow), Shota Rustaveli (Tbilisi), Borispol (Kiev), Batumi, Ruzine (Prague), Vienna and Yerevan.
Airport Check-In
Passengers can also check-in for their flights at the airport by visiting ththree check-in counter. It is recommended that passengers arrive three hours before the scheduled departure time to ensure they have enough time for check-in, security and to get to the boarding gate.

Georgian Airways resumes Astana-Batumi flights
The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan have stated that Georgian Airways is to resume direct flights from Astana to Batumi.
From Fridays from 22nd June -1st September2018, the flights will be carried out once a week. Batumi is located on the Black Sea coast and is known as a tourist and cultural centre of Georgia.
Currently, Air Astana also carries out Almaty-Tbilisi (5 x weekly) and Astana-Tbilisi (3 x weekly) flights and Scat airline implements Aktau-Tbilisi flights 4 x weekly.
