Fly540 allows passengers to check in one bag weighing up to 20kg. Hand luggage must be no larger than 56 x 45 x 25 cm. Fly540 operates modern aircraft including Bombardier, Canadair, DC-9 and Fokker F28. In 2012, Fly540 was sold to Fastjet Plc for $85.7 million.

Online Check-In
Online check-in opens 48 hours before flight departure time and closes two hours before. To check-in online, passengers must enter their surname and booking reference under the 'Manage My Booking' section on the fly540 website.
Airport Check-In
Passengers can check-in for their Fly540 flight at the airport by visiting a Fly540 check-in agent at one of the Fly540 check-in desks. For domestic flights, passengers must check-in at the airport for their Fly540 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure time at the very latest. For international flights, passengers must check-in at the airport for their Fly540 flight two hours before scheduled flight departure time at the very latest.

Fly540 to launch weekly Lokichar flight next year
Airline operator Fly540 will start flying the Lokichar route next year as it seeks to grow revenue from the oil exploration activity in the region.
The company says the weekly flight to Kapese airstrip is meant to reopen up Turkana by offering air transport between Lokichar and Nairobi.
The company’s corporate and industry affairs director, Nixon Ooko, says they will offer transport to firms involved in the oil business.
“We want to open up Turkana to the rest of the world and want to do this by introducing flights to Kapese airstrip in Turkana,” said Mr Ooko. It will deploy a 37-seater on the route.
Safarilink flies from Wilson Airport to the Lodwar airstrip via Kapese with a five weekly flight since September 2014. The opening of Kapese airstrip, which is mainly used by oil explorer Tullow, came as a relief to travellers who initially had to land in Lodwar town before making a 150km trip back to Lokichar. Fly 540 has a Lodwar route.
Astral Aviation, an international cargo aircraft, plans to start a two weekly cargo flight from JKIA to Kapese as soon as next month.
Sanjeev Gadhia, the managing director of Astral, says Kapese presents a good business opportunity that will enable the company to deliver goods and services to the oil and gas workers.

Fly 540, Fly SAX begin operations at Isiolo Airport
Two local airlines, Fly 540 and Fly SAX, have set up offices at Isiolo International Airport ahead of its opening for domestic flights.
The airport was scheduled for commissioning early this year but this did not happen as runway pavements were being worked on due to poor drainage.
The move is now awaiting a greenlight from the Kenya Civil Association Authority (KCAA).
Investors in the agriculture, tourism and livestock sectors from surrounding counties are eying huge benefits following completion of the facility.
The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), miraa farmers, exporters and tourism stakeholders on Monday expressed optimism that the Sh1.7 billion infrastructure will be a boon for their businesses.
Mr Isiah Miriti, a miraa grower, said the airport will ease transportation of the twigs locally and in the region.
He called on the government to fast-track opening of new markets for the crop as well as reclamation of European market for full utilisation of the airport.
