About Carpatair

Carpatair operates a route between Lublin in Poland and Rome in Italy and is based in Timisoara, Timis County. The airline was founded in 1999 with both the Swiss and Romanian capitals. The airline It also operates under a JP flight code a route between Örebro in Sweden and Copenhagen in Denmark. As of November 2015, Carpatair started operating two of its three aircraft for the Nordic Aviation Group, a joint-venture successor for defunct Estonian Air. 

 

Carpatair maintains codeshare agreements and interline agreements with Alitalia, Moldovian airlines, Air Berlin and Meridiana. Carpatair's fleet consists of Fokker 100. From 2014, Carpatair became a full-service charter airline with operational bases in Italy and France, from where Ad-Hoc charters, chains of charters and ACMI & lease projects are organized through leading aviation partners. Carpatair's dedicated fleet for this type of projects is formed of 3 newly refurbished Fokker 100 aircrafts, configured for a capacity of up to 100 seats. 

 

As of May 2014, Carpatair dissolved most of their former route network and no longer operates in Romania or Moldova. The airline also in the past operated a route between Lublin in Poland and Rome in Italy. As of December 2015, it operates under a JP flight code a route between Örebro in Sweden and Copenhagen in Denmark and under a NJ flight code route between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Arvidsjaur/Gällivare in Sweden.

 

 


 

 

For safety and convenience, each passenger is allowed to carry one single item of hand baggage that may not exceed 5 kg in weight and dimensions may not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. 

 

These dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets, etc. The standard service refers to the carriage of one piece of checked baggage up to 15 kg per passenger. Additionally, adults travelling with infants are allowed to carry a collapsible stroller. 

 

The standard maximum dimensions of the checked baggage must not exceed 203 cm or 80 in (length + width + height), wheels, handles, side pockets, etc. included. 

 

The transport of baggage exceeding the maximum single item weight of 32 kg and/or the maximum dimensions of 203 cm is subject to special transport conditions and has therefore to be pre-notified and confirmed by the airline.

Carpatair was born in 1999 with both Swiss and Romanian capital. Carpatair Flights to Timisoara This focussed, entrepreneurial airline has grown to a size in 2009 where it operates 26 routes from its hub at Timisoara plus Bari and Ancona from Bucharest and Chisinau – Budapest. Using the well known hub & spoke concept for its route network operations, Carpatair connects Romania (Bucharest, Bacau, Craiova, Iasi, Suceava, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta and Oradea), Republic of Moldova (Chisinau) and Ukraine (Lviv, Odessa and Chernovtsy) with Italy (Bari, Perugia, Turin, Venice, Verona, Ancona, Bologna, Milan - Bergamo, Rome- Fiumicino, and Florence), Germany (Dusseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart) and Greece (Athens). We presume that with the majority of its services on Saab aircraft the Managing Director of Carpatair personally drives a car of the same make (although the airline also operates three Fokker 100 Jets)........ whatever the truth we can fully recommend this airline with its two class service and professional hub and spoke operation through Timisoara.

 

Carpatair, the Romanian based regional carrier based at Timisoara, has launched new direct services from Bucharest to Ancona and Bari in Italy. 


The Bucharest to Ancona scheuled service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The Bucharest to Bari route will be flown three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Both routes start in October 2009.

Carpatair, the independent Romanian airline has announced the acquisition of three Fokker 70s aircraft. The new aircraft have a passenger seating capacity of 72 in an all economy configuration. The first of the three aircraft arrived in December 2009 with the remaining two due to arrive in Timisoara during February and March 2010. Carpatair has yet to announce which routes will be flown by the new aircraft.

Carpatair have announced the launch of new twice-weekly flights from Craiova to Rome Fiumicino and Bergamo, The new scheduled service will start on May 24th 2010 and will be flown using Fokker F70 aircraft, Craiova is the sixth largest city in Romania and capital of Dolj county.


Carpatair is the largest regional airline in Eastern Europe and is based on Romanian capital Timişoara. The airline carried in excess of 500,000 passengers in 20-009 and is looking for significant growth in 2010.

CarpatairCarpatair has already received on new Fokker 70 aircraft in 2010 with two further aircraft due to start operations in February and March. The first airplane was introduced at the end of January on Timisoara-Chisinau route. The current Carpatair fleet comprises of 12 SAAB 2000, with 50 seats and three Fokker 100, with 105 seats, plus the three Fokker 70 with 72 seats each, of which 12 business class.

At present, Carpatair runs more than 250 regular flights per week, to 30 destinations in six countries.
