About Azur Air
Azur Air, previously Katekavia, is a Russian airline that used to operate scheduled domestic flights in Russia but now operates as a charter airline. Azur Air is largely based out of Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo International (KJA), offering services to destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America.
Azur Air was founded in 1992 as Katekavia and flew its inaugural flight in 1995 with a service between Krasnoyarsk Cheremshanka Airport and Krasnoyarsk-Yemelyanovo Airport (KJA). However, this didn't last long as in 2015, the airline rebranded from Katekavia to Azur Air and went back to just offering charter services. Other airlines that fly from Yemelyanovo Airport include Pegas Fly and Aeroflot.
Azur Air's fleet consists of entirely Boeing aircraft. The airline has over 20 aircraft, including Boeing 737-800s, Boeing 757-200s, Boeing 767-300ERs and Boeing 77-300ERs. Azur Air offers an in-flight menu with a variety of food and drinks. If you'd like to order a vegetarian or children's menu, you must contact the airlines at least 24 hours before departure but no earlier than 72 hours before.
