About Aserca Airlines
Aserca Airlines is an airline based in Carabobo, Venezuela, and operates domestic and regional scheduled services to destinations within the Caribbean, Central America and the USA.
Aserca Airlines' hub is at Simon Bolivar International Airport, Caracas.
The airline flies to many destinations including Caracas, Barcelona, Maracaibo, Maturin, Barquisimeto, Santo Domingo, Porlamar, Valencia, Santo Domingo and Aruba.
Aserca Airlines was established in 1968 and started operations in 1991.
Originally, Aserca Airlines focused on Valencia but it developed Caracas as a hub for their operations. Aserca Airlines previously had a controlling interest in Air Aruba and also a minority stake in SBA Airlines. Additionally, Aserca's intentions were focused on Valencia but managed to develop Caracas as a hub.
Aserca Airlines fleet consists of McDonnell Douglas aircraft.

Aserca will resume scheduled flights on March 19, 2018
On Thursday February 22nd, Aserca Airlines announced that it would resume scheduled flights on March 19th 2018.
The announcement was made on the airline’s Twitter account @asercaairlines. It said the situation had arisen because the “airline’s technical procedures had to conform to their insurance policy, an essential requirement in the execution of any aeronautical operation, in strict compliance with national and international regulations."
The airline said that passengers with travel dates before the flight resumption date would be handled in accordance with the General Conditions of Air Transportation, "receiving the relevant assistance and protection."
