About Aerogal Airlines
Aerogal was the former name of Avianca Ecuador. Aerogal commenced operations in 1986 but changed its name in 2009 after a merger with the Colombian airline Avianca. The airline now operates passenger and cargo flights within Ecuador, between the mainland and the Galápagos Islands, and between Ecuador and Peru (on behalf of Avianca Peru) and Colombia (on behalf of Avianca) under its new name. Avianca Ecuador is one of the seven nationally branded airlines (Avianca Peru, Avianca Honduras, etc.) in the Avianca Holdings group of Latin American airlines.
Avianca Ecuador (formerly Aerogal) currently operates one daily flight from Quito to Baltra, in addition to 6 weekly flights from Quito and 5 from Guayaquil to San Cristobal. Avianca Ecuador (Aerogal) provides an excellent service for its passengers.

Economy Class passengers are permitted one piece of bagggage weighing 23kg. Business Class passengers are permitted two pieces of baggage weighing 23kg.
